Another Common or Emperor, Pt. 2 - _TNY_9347
In English, the Lucilia caesar blow fly is known as the common greenbottle - but in other languages, the "caesar" part is picked up which is why it is a "kejsarguldfluga" in Swedish, "Kaisergoldfliege" in
German and "keizersvlieg" in Dutch - all meaning "emperor gold fly" or "emperor fly".
Based on known distribution, this one should be L. caesar, but since distribution maps for flies aren't thoroughly researched, it could also be a L. ampullacea - the streakless greenbottle.
The lovely background here is a purple angelica (Angelica gigas).

Plus an entirely different fly in the same place on a different day here: www.flickr.com/photos/tinyturtle/53956535248/
