A Different Shade of Blue - _TNY_0481

This one looks a lot like the "regular blue morpho (Morpho peleides) which is one of the most common species found at the Haga Ocean butterfly house.

But it isn't. Instead, the extra white at the top of the wing tells us this is an Amathonte blue morpho (Morpho amathonte), a species with a distinctly lighter shade of shimmering blue on the dorsal side of the wings.
