In the Forest - _TNY_1259

This is from the Haga Ocean butterfly house, but in the wild, the clipper (Parthenos sylvia) can be found in India, Bangladesh, Burma, Sri Lanka, the Philippines and New Guinea.

 

Like the name implies, this is a species which is found in forests ("sylvia" comes from the Latin "silva" which means forest).
