Dinner Disruptor - _TNY_8121

So it's summer vacation and me, the wife and our son are visiting my mother-in-law in Härnösand, Sweden and we're about to sit down in her greenhouse to eat dinner when I spot this unusual-looking robberfly on a leaf inside.

To me, this is a major opportunity so I try and shoot it - but it takes off and I lose sight of it so while the others try to eat, I prowl around in there trying to spot it again.

Eventually, I find it, sitting on a piece of blue rope near the ceiling so I get a ladder and try to get close to the fly.

And success! I get the shot and am elated until I realise that this really isn't the rare species I figured but one of the more common ones, probably a kite-tailed robberfly (Tolmerus atricapillus).

On the plus side however, those eyes came out pretty nice...
