Eating it All - _TNY_9687
This trio are larvae of the solomon's seal sawfly (Phymatocera aterrima).
The adult sawfly (looking like this: www.flickr.com/photos/tinyturtle/35908518115/) lay their eggs inside plants of the Solomon's seal (Polygonatum sp.) so you cannot see them and when they hatch a whole bunch of small larvae appear and begin devouring the leaves of the plant.
They grow quickly and when increasing in size, so does their appetite! These plands had hundreds of the larvae on the leaves, literally destroying the plants.
