Ruddy Means Reddish, Pt. 3 - _TNY_4631

The Hemmesta sjöäng wetland is a pretty small area which I pass on my way to my mom's summer house on the Värmdö peninsula.

I've stopped there a couple of times and it is a lovely spot for dragonfllies and damsels.

Here is a female ruddy darder (Sympetrum sanguineum) and when you know "ruddy" means reddish you might think that it isn't particularioly red - but check out what the male I found nearby looks like in Pt. 1: www.flickr.com/photos/tinyturtle/51862168812/

Part 2 is another shot (closer) of this female here: www.flickr.com/photos/tinyturtle/53554115975/
