The Rainbow Greenclock, Pt. 4 - _TNY_3635

While out on a recent walk in the Tyresta National Park with my wife, she noticed a small metallic beetle crossing our path.

I managed to temporarily halt if for long enough to get a couple of shots and it turned out to be a species with a very cool name. Say hello to the rainbow greenclock (Poecilus versicolor).

This one was about 10mm (.4") in length and shimmered really nice in green with some copper/bronze tones.
