Fork or Antler - _TNY_0054

Looking at the pattern on the wings of this antler moth (Cerapteryx graminis), it isn't difficult to understand where the name comes from - it really looks like a stylised antler on there.

 

Whoever named it in Swedish however had a different idea as they chose "gaffelgräsfly" where "gaffel translates into "fork".

 

Either way, this one which was sleeping outside my house at 1.00 am in early August sure has an impressive fur, right?
