Rescue Project - _TNY_0055

This pink rose (Pachliopta kotzebuea), also known as the velvet rose, had managed to get its wings all wet in the warm mist underneath the chrysalis cabinet at the Haga Ocean butterfly house.

I'm thinking it had decided to wait the mist out and then dry up - but that of course would never work as the mist is produced by a machine.

Instead, I offered my finger and lifted it up and let it climb over to a leaf in the light, away from the mist, where it had an actual chance to dry its wings.
