Copper Mirror, Midnight Edition, Pt. 2 - _TNY_8145

This black beauty is actually the same species as this: www.flickr.com/photos/tinyturtle/53840648772/ - a very small ground beetle known as Bembidion litorale.

 

The one in the other photo is the "regular" colour so this one is the odd one - but I have no idea why. Looks quite cool though.

 

This was shot at 3:1 mag so the grains of sand look quite large.
