Sucked Dry, Pt. 6 - _TNY_3400
I met this cute jumping spider girl on the island of Phu Quoc off the coast of Vietnam when she made an impressive leap from one plant to the next with her prey in her fangs and crawled underneath the leaf to finish her meal.
This species has the awesome name of beige beetle jumper (Rhene flavigera) and as far as I can tell, the unfortunate prey is some sort of crab spider (Thomisidae) that has fallen victim to the better hunter which as the photo shows is literally sucking it dry.
