Long Antennae, Pt. 2 - _TNY_9864

At ~5 mm / .2" in body length, this Uleiota planatus (also planata) was a very small find by the ever-friendly Stanislav Snäll who shared the piece of bark he had found with this trio and a couple more with me on the 2024 Stockholm Entomological Society excustion to the Nackareservatet nature reserve. Apparently the one with the orange colour is the same species, just so young that the colour hasn't reached it's final hue yet.

These guys live under tree bark and the shot was taken at 1.8:1 magnification.

For a closer (3:1) shot of just the one in the middle, have a look here: www.flickr.com/photos/tinyturtle/53956735210/
