Flower Devourer, Pt. 4 - _TNY_1129

A small tortoiseshell (Aglais urticae) which, along with a buddy (here: www.flickr.com/photos/tinyturtle/37602286906/), went nuts for this stonecrop (Sedum sp.) and allowed me to get in quite close with the camera.

While these have a pretty orange main colour on the upper side, they hibernate through the winter in adult form which is why this mottled brown ventral colour is ideal for blending in with tree bark and such while sleeping.
