When you are a female orange-spined drone fly (Eristalis interrupta) like this one sitting on a cow parsley (Anthriscus sylvestris) in Tyresta National Park, seeing a male hovering stationary above you like this really turns you on.
A couple of years ago I actually saw a female being courted by two males at the same time and then the second male hovered over the first one. I'm not sure if being the closest or the one up top is considered more attractive, but that's what they did.
This is a manually stacked shot made from two exposures (yes, the male stayed very still) using just Photoshop.
