Wrong Colour - _TNY_9993
The weather was surprisingly good here for a couple of days this week so I decided to sneak in a visit to Tyresta National Park before work (the advantage of working nights) which was just in time as the weather has taken a turn for the worse now.
At first, it appeared to be very little to shoot, but looking a bit closer I found some bugs still moving aruond and I was satisfied with my little trip.
One of my finds was this female goldenrod crab spider Misumena vatia) in yellow mode, having set up an ambush for pollinators on top of a common yarrow (Achillea millefolium).
The females of this species are capable of shifting colour and can go from yellow like this to pure white - a hue I figure would work better when trying to blend in on a white flower. It takes a day or two to change colour so hopefully, she is in white mode by now.
