Identification Improvement, Pt. 2 - _TNY_6791

I recently discovered an awesome online resource for butterfly identification - lepidoptera.eu

Looking there, I discovered that several of my shots from the Haga Ocean butterfly house which I had previously thought were the Atlas moth (Attacus atlas) instead must be the closely related Attacus lorquinii as A. attacus has a small white marking above the upper white triangle (like on this one: www.flickr.com/photos/tinyturtle/51988684256/)

A. lorquinii is found in the Philippines and seem to have several English names like Lorquin's cobra moth, the Philippine Attacus moth and the Phillipinean atlas moth.

The magnificient one in this photo is a male and I will post two closer shots of him later on.

I haven't gone through all the previous Attacus shots yet, but I will do so to make sure both descriptions and tags are correct.

Part 1 shows this moth in all its beauty here: www.flickr.com/photos/tinyturtle/53638436549/
