Great Yellow - _TNY_9658

This fairly large bumblebee is known as the great yellow bumblebee (Bombus distinguendus) and by now, you know this intensely coloured flower is the purple angelica (Angelica gigas).

This flower is a bonafide hit with pollinating insects and they are constantly visited by wasps, bees, flies - and bumblebees. All of them busy with drinking nectar and not much interest in getting away from me and my camera.
