The female on the left was being courted heavily by the male on the right. Here, he's trying to flutter his wings rapidly which I am sure she found very sexy.

 

The species is called the silver-washed fritillary (Argynnis paphia) and I found this couple in my mother-in-law's garden outside Härnösand, Sweden in early August.

Done
