I came across this female Acantholycosa lignaria wolf spider with her entire litter of babies on her back.
Fortunately for me, she froze nicely between a couple of pebbles on the shore of the Mjällå river running through the Mjällådalen nature reserve near Härnösand, Sweden which allowed me to take not just this shot, but also a short series which I will try and focus stack into a shot with significantly more depth of field.
