Still in the Right Place, Pt. 2 - - _TNY_7163

Four years ago, in late April of 2020, I was at Åva-Stensjödal in Tyresta National Park and photographed a female grey-backed mining bee (Andrena vaga) gathering pollen from a sallow (Salix caprea). It felt very fitting as the species is called "sälgsandbi" and "sälg" is what we call sallow here so this is a sallow sand bee on sallow - very fitting.

Well, about the same time this year, I was in the same place and now I found this llittle girl and a whole bunch of her sisters as well , all very concentrated on gathering pollen as provisions for her offspring and since there still aren't many sources of pollen but the sallow - that's where they were gathering.
