Finger Jewelry (Re-Edit) - _TNY_4270v2
This is a quite old shot (from late May of 2015) which I re-edited.
The little explosion of colour on my finger here is a cuckoo wasp/emerald wasp - parasitic wasps that target various species of solitary bees.
Unfortunately for the identification dept., there are several species which look incredibly much like this so we can't tell the exact species, but have to settle for it being on in the Chrysis ignita group - commonly known as ruby-tailed wasps.
