Crowded at the Bar - _TNY_4039
The pale owl butterfly (Caligo memnon) and yellow-edged giant owl butterfly (Caligo atreus) are real fans of the ripe fruit like these bananas. The heat makes the fruit ferment so there is actual alcohol in it so calling this a bar is quite fitting.
This one was unusually crowded - I count 13 owls plus 2 dirce beauty (Colabura dirce).
This shot came out ridiculously overexposed, but they were so many that I decided to try and restore it as fifteen butterflies in one shot is a bit uncommon.
