Instant Success - _TNY_7302S2
When I went out to Åva-Stensjödal in the Tyresta National Park on June 5th (of 2024), I barely got off the parking lot before seeing this female blacktailed skimmer (Orthetrum cancellatum) on the gravel path.
Since I had the Canon MP-E65mm lens on the camera, I had to get within 10 cm / 4" of it as that lens can't focus further away which meant bringing out the ultra ninja sneaking skills, but we got there in the end.
It actually worked so well that I got two shots with slightly different parts of it in focus so I could merge those two using Zerene Stacker into a single photo with a little additional depth if field.
