Ever Variable - _TNY_7397

This leaf beetle (Plagiosterna aenea) lacks a common English name, but the Swedish one, "alglansbagge" would translate into something like "alder gloss beetle" which seems quite fitting.

 

This species can vary a bit in colouration and this is the reddest one I've found so far.
