Red & Pink, Pt. 2 - _TNY_7311

Going for a walk after lunch together with my wife in early May, she spotted a cute visitor on the elephant-eared saxifrage (Bergenia sp.) This turned out to be a ribbed pine borer (Rhagium inquisitor), most likely interested in the thujas growing directly above.

The red and pink flower really framed it nicely here and the borer was a good sport and stayed still for me so I could try out several angles.
