Unusual Colour and Visitors - _TNY_4285
The pennywort (Anemone hepatica), also known as the kidneywort, common hepatica and liverleaf is a surefire sign of spring in Sweden, but this colouration instead of the normal blue isn't super common (though I wouldn't call it rare).
The one here is from right next to Stensjön (Rock lake) in Tyresta National Park, Sweden and if you look closely, it has a couple of tiny inhabitants. Those liitle guys covered in pollen are some sort of thrips (Thysanoptera sp.)
A "normal" colour for this one would be more like: www.flickr.com/photos/tinyturtle/35838062661/
