Angular Camouflage, Pt. 2 - _TNY_5484

This caterpillar with the funky angular camouflage pattern is going to grow up to be a beautiful moth known as the peach blossom (Thyatira batis).

The name sounds a bit weird until you find out that the brown wings of the adult moth have five pink and white blotches on them which aren't that difficult to associate with flowers. I have yet to come across an adult specimen, but when I do, you will see it here.

I found this on an August visit to the Mjällådalen nature reserve in Ångermanland, Sweden.
