Snail Killer, Pt. 2 - _TNY_6083
With a name llike brown sieve-winged snailkiller (Euthycera fumigata), it is easy to think of something larger than this.
The snail-killing part is actually done by the larvae which attack terrestial slugs and snails.
My wife discovered this particular one outside our front door, trying to snack on some sort of insect remains which I can't figure out what it used to be. At first I thought ladybird, but that's not it. Regardless, the exteneded eating apparatus (calling it just a mouth would be an injustice) is seriously impressive.
