Pulling Your Weight, and Then Some, Pt. 5 - _TNY_1671
I found this ant which I believe to be a Formica fusca right outside the house. It had found a dead or dying (it's that time of the year) common wasp (Vespula vulgaris) and was vigorously dragging it back to the nest and making good speed doing so.
When I saw it I had the Canon MP-E65mm on the camera, a lens more suited to shooting subjects along the size of just the ant so I had to improvise a bit, but this is shot at 1.2:1 magnification.
