Never Flown, Pt. 3 - _TNY_6391
Here is a female scarlet mormon (Papilio rumanzovia) still drying and hardening her wings before making her virgin flight at the Haga Ocean butterfly house in Solna on the north side of Stockholm, Sweden.
She has not long ago climbed out of one of the chrysalides above her after completing the metamorphosis from caterpillar.
This photo is a regular single exposure, but part 1 and 2 were made up of multiple exposures stitched together into really large (100+ megapixel) images using Kolor Autopano Giga.
Part 1 has the wings closed and ended up at 163 megapixel here: www.flickr.com/photos/tinyturtle/53295572419/
Part 2 is very similar to this one - but 103 megapixel, here: www.flickr.com/photos/tinyturtle/53407823237/
