Covered in Bronze Scales, Pt. 3 - _TNY_9467

in 2022, I bought a second SUP - a stand-up paddle board and after taking on a test paddle around Björnholmen (Bear island) at my mom's summer house we came home and I left the boards on the lawn.

Since they aren't supposed to be left for an extended period of time in direct sunlight, I decided to move them and that's when I noticed this very small weevil running on the surface of one of the boards.

It's a Strophosoma melanogrammum (I've seen the English name nut leaf weevil used for this one) and no more than 5 mm in body length, but the shot quite nicely show all those cool and tiny scales. It looks like it's been sprayed with glue and then dipped in a bucket of bronze sequins.
