Some bugs are more difficult to shoot than others. They might run away, fly off or just hide.
And then there are those like this one - who bring their own cover. It is a green tortoise beetle (Cassida viridis) and it employs a really low ground clearance as protection which makes it quite the task to depict the actually quite cute little bug underneath that green shield.
And the exotic ways to cover oneself does not stop there. As a caterpillar, this one builds a shield out of remains of its prey combined with excrement which it carries on its back!
