Great Masterwort is Great - _TNY_0979

This charmer with the hairy eyes is a male drone fly, specifically an Eristalis interrupta (no common English name).

 

And the nice cup he is drinking from is the wonderful great masterwort (Asatrantia major) - a flower which appears to entice lots of flying insects, so many in fact that I have an album with over 140 photos of various bugs on them.
