The World They Live In - _TNY_4190

Typically when I post shots of my favourite bug, the European wool carder bee (Anthidium manicatum), they look something like this: www.flickr.com/photos/tinyturtle/52603136490/

 

And while that is great for seeing every little detail, it doesn't really provide a sens of the surroundings so I though I should post some shots illustrating those as well.

 

Here are the flowers of the house lee (Sempervivum tectorum) in a wider shot - but with two female bees of this species busy on their flowers. Unfortunately, but aren't in focus, but the difference in distance to them was to great to getting both of them sharp at the same time.
