Better Edit - _TNY_5126

When you shoot RAW instead of letting the camera software decide how the shot should look and save it as a JPEG for you, you have a lot of freedom as to how the finished shot should look.

 

This can sometimes mean that as your (or in this case my) skill improves, you look back at older shots and wonder how you/I ever thought that was a good edit.

 

This is a good example of that. It's a common winter damsel (Sympecma fusca) on a twig at Åva-Stensjödal in Tyresta National Park, Sweden. From the same shoot, I edited this: www.flickr.com/photos/tinyturtle/51748638091/ and uploaded in December 202, a little over two years ago, and I can't for the life of me understand how I thought that was good enough.
