Inverted Eggfly - _TNY_6437P9
Here is a 320 megapixel (21909x14606 px) panorama shot stitched together from nine separate photos using Kolor Autopano Giga.
The butterfly in the center is an intersting one, known as the great eggfly (Hypolimnas bolina).
You see, after the female lays her eggs, she positions herself over them with her wings out stretched to protect them and will stay there until all eggs have hatched. Typically she has died by then - but still in that position.
The species is also known as the blue moon butterfly because of the circulat blue markings on the dorsal side of the wings.
