Yellow on Purple, Pt. 2 - _TNY_5379

The huge inflorescence on the purple angelicas (Angelica gigas) is like drugs to the wasps. You can scare them away, but they always come back.

 

This is "just" a common wasp (Vespula vulgaris), but there are a several species that can be found on these.
