Halted Honey Production, Pt. 2 - _TNY_8018

Here is a female goldenrod crab spider (Misumena vatia), currently in yellow mode, which have managed to kill a western honey bee (Apis mellifera) on a dandelion (Taraxacum ruderalia) near my local train station.

This is actually the very same spider as in these wide-angle macro shots outside my house. I found it here on the dandelion and put it in a little container and brought it home and released her on the ox-eye daisies: www.flickr.com/photos/tinyturtle/52177534935/ and www.flickr.com/photos/tinyturtle/52324526856/
