XL Sara - _TNY_6216P9

The Sara longwing (Heliconius sara) is a butterfly which typically is found in forest edges in the rain forests of South America.

The one here was posing nicely for me on a monstera leaf in a decidedly more nothern locale - the Haga Ocean butterfly house in Solna, Sweden.

Unfortunately, this one didn't show the dorsal side of the wings which is also quite beautiful with a black base, two white bands and a wonderful blue section near the base of the wings.

Here is an older shot of one though the light makes the blue part quite difficult to see: www.flickr.com/photos/tinyturtle/52819370073/

This is a panorama shot made using Kolor AutoPano Giga from nine individual photos which mean we end up with a nice 331 megapixel image.

For a more regular shot of the very same specimen, have a look here: www.flickr.com/photos/tinyturtle/53259835528/

Also, do you guys think I should have edited out the small twig beneath the butterfly?
