Not Yet Airborne, Pt. 2 - _TNY_6490
After climbing out of the chrysalis which they have just spent a couple of weeks transforming from a caterpillar into the adult butterfly, they need to pump up their wings and wait a while for the wings to dry and harden so they can make their first light.
The one waiting here underneath its chrysalis at the Haga Ocean Butterfly House is a male Constantine's swallowtail (Papilio constantinus) which soon will take to the air for the very first time.
