Shoulder Patch, Pt. 2 - _TNY_5388
On a nice day in late August, my son, Daniel, was kind enough to join me for a trip to Tyresta National Park. We had a pretty great day though he got a little bored at one point and sat down with his phone while I photographed some ruddy darters mating (like these two: www.flickr.com/photos/tinyturtle/51417581761/).
This male ruddy darter (Sympetrum sanguineum) did however not want him left out though so he chose to land on his shoulder and stayed there for several minutes while Daniel watched YouTube and I finished up with my darters and could come over and take a couple of shots of her. And right after he left, a female came in for a landing in the same spot so I could get a shot or two of her as well.
Pt. 1 is the female here: www.flickr.com/photos/tinyturtle/51499383537/
