Close-up Detail - _TNY_6381
While I almost exclusively shoot butterflies at the Haga Ocean butterfly house using the Sigma 180mm/3.5 Macro lens (with or without the 2x teleconverter), the Canon EF100mm f/2.8 L IS Macro still is just a little sharper.
This was useful when this yellow-edged giant owl butterfly (Caligo atreus) allowed me in real close and if you zoom in, you can find lots of satisfying detail on the scales, hair and eyes.
