Peach Blossom, Pt. 2 - _TNY_5352
(This curiously-looking caterpillar will grow up and turn into a pretty striking moth with the lovely name peach blossom (Thyatira batis).
The adult moth is actually just as pretty as the name suggests and has greyish-brown worewings with a fine black pattern and some rather prominent pink spots - I really hope I can find and capture one on camera at some point.
This caterpillar looks a bit out of place in brown on a green leaf - but to be honest, its camouflage scheme worked extremely well and with it staying curled up like this it very convincingly looked like just another brown leaf like all the others which had fallen from the trees above.)
