Here is a female scarlet mormon (Papilio rumanzovia) still drying and hardening her wings before making her virgin flight at the Haga Ocean butterfly house in Solna on the north side of Stockholm, Sweden.
She has not long ago climbed out of one of the chrysalides above her after completing the metamorphosis from caterpillar.
This phot is made up of six separate exposures which I stitched together into one 103 megapixel image using Kolor Autopano Giga.
