Goldenring Eye - _TNY_9311S2

Here's the first common goldenring (Cordulegaster boltonii) I've ever seen - and it became a close meeting!

It flew into my mother-in-law's greenhouse by mistake back in July of 2022 and couldn't find its way out so after a little bit of photographing - and quite a lot of thrashing around! - I could carry it out sitting in my hand.

This species is one of the three largest species in Sweden with a wingspan of up to 110 mm (4.3").

This is another one of those manual focus stacks done by blending in Photoshop as Zerene Stacker refused to line up the shots properly.
