In Paphos, Cyprus, there is an ancient sanctuary dedicated to the godess Aphrodite, known as Aphrpdite Paphia and located where according to legend, Aphrodite was born.
This "Paphia" is the origin of the species name of the silver-washed fritillary (Argynnis paphia).
This particular one isn't photographed in Cyprus or anywhere near it, but instead a shot I took while at Åva-Stensjödal in the Tyresta National Park near Stockholm, Sweden when visiting it together with my son.
