A very old and quite tired Peleides blue morpho (Morpho peleides) which was resting on the floor at the Haga Ocean butterfly house in Solna, Sweden.
Time is, as we all know, relative, and in this case, being "old" means the butterfly is about two weeks old.
Technically, they live longer than that as there is a larval stage and time metamorphosizing in the chrysalis, but the adult butterfly usually lives for two to three weeks.
