Rose Hips and Pollen Thighs, Pt. 2 - _TNY_3017
Micrandrena is a subgenus to Andrena, the mining bees with particularily small species.
These are typically quite difficult to tell apart, but here, I am helped by geography. Since this was taken in my mother-in_law's garden which is located outside Härnösand, Sweden, it is extremely unlikely to be the common mini-miner (Andrena minutula) and instead should be the impunctate mini-miner (Andrena subopaca).
The flower it is collecting pollen from is a glaucous dog rose (Rosa dumalis) - the shrubbery that produces rose hip.
