Lemon Butterfly - _TNY_5838

This female brimstone butterfly (Gonepteryx rhamni) allowed me to get surprisingly close when on a walk along a small logging road outside Härnösand, Sweden.

 

This was taken at 1.8:1 magnification which means the front of the lens was about 70 mm or 2 3/4" from the butterfly. The hawkweed must have tasted especially nice or something.
