The Other Antlers - _TNY_6061

The English name for this (male) moth is the antler moth (Cerapteryx graminis) and the name has nothing to do with the antennae being particulairly antler-y.

Instead it is white pattern on the wings which reminisce antlers.

The Swedish name is "gaffelgräsfly", translating into "fork grass moth" where the fork part is in reference to the same wing pattern.

This particular one was enjoying a false spiraea (Sorbaria sorbifolia) in my mother-in-law's garden back in 2018.
